It appears that the Western public, both relatively ‘educated’ and thoroughly ignorant, could, after some persuasion, agree on certain very basic facts – for instance that Russia has historically (...)

a huge victory for the Tunisian people
International anarchist communist statement

Our organizations affirm their full solidarity with the struggle of the Tunisian people for freedom and social justice and our support for militant anti-capitalist Tunisians.

We condemn the attitude of the Western States and more generally their political classes, both right-wing and social democratic, who have always actively supported the authoritarian power of Ben Ali.

Great works measure up, inspire higher standards of intellectual and moral honesty, and, when appreciated for what they are, serve as a guide for those among us who intend a transformation of reality.

 APOC
an American anarchist/anti-authoritarian group

Anarchist People of Colour [APOC] is a network of de-centralized Anarchist/Anti-authoritarian "screams and sighs of relief", solely for People of Color.

Though the definition(s) of APOC and those involved with it remain multiplicitous - particularly pertaining to what exactly is meant by the signifier "Person of Color" - it is those who are associated with it that define its meaning(s).

APOC is built to recognize "the racially oppressed other", whilst not being a separatist movement, and to provide the necessary means for that "other" to recognize itself, to build a space autonomously for itself and subsequently liberate itself whilst recognizing the infinite oppressions that are faced by people of the world and seeking out ways to dismantle them.

 An ex-Black Panther turned anarchist
Lorenzo Komboa Ervin

Written by ex-Black Panther turned anarchist Lorenzo Komboa Ervin, Anarchism and the Black Revolution is both an easy-to-read introduction to the fundamental principles of class struggle anarchism and an analysis of their relevance to the black liberation movement. Also contains a good section on why the author is an anarchist and why non-class struggle anarchists are useless.

Taken from the libcom library edition, this text has been corrected for scanning errors in other online editions, and includes footnotes for explanations and more information.

 Anarchism and the Black Revolution
Resistance to the Babylonian Pigocracy

“Panther anarchism is ready, willing and able to challenge old nationalist and revolutionary notions that have been accepted as ‘common-sense.’

It also challenges the bullshit in our lives and in the so-called movement that holds us back from building a genuine movement based on the enjoyment of life, diversity, practical self-determination and multi-faceted resistance to the Babylonian Pigocracy. This Pigocracy is in our ‘heads,’ our relationships as well as in the institutions that have a vested interest in our eternal domination.” (From Anarchist Panther, October 1999, Edition 1, Volume 1).

 Anarchism in Africa
Sam Mbah & I.E. Igariwey

"Is there a developed, systematic body of thought on anarchism that is of African origin ? Because anarchism as a way of life is in large measure indigenous in Africa, it seems almost certain that Africans had, at one time or another, formulated creative ideas on this way of organizing society (...)"
